Last updated: April 27, 2026
1. Who this applies to
This Privacy Policy describes how octiv.live collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services. It applies only to residents of the United States, excluding California and Colorado. octiv.live does not market to or knowingly collect personal information from residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, or any other jurisdiction outside the supported areas.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account: name, email address, password, and the role you sign up under (artist or venue).
- Artist profile: stage name, bio, home city and state, travel radius, price, set length, setlist, music styles, photos, video links, and availability.
- Venue profile: business name, address, phone, website, and a domain-matched email used during verification.
- Booking activity: requests you send or receive, messages between parties, and any notes attached to a booking.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, referring page, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, plus minimal functional storage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
3. How we use information
- To create and operate your account.
- To show your profile to other users so bookings can happen.
- To send transactional email about bookings, requests, messages, and account events.
- To verify venue identity using publicly available business listings and a phone-based verification step.
- To investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
4. How we share information
With other users
Artist profiles are visible to signed-in users so venues can find them. Contact details (email) are revealed to the other party once a booking is confirmed.
With service providers
We share limited information with the providers we rely on to run octiv.live. They are contractually bound to use it only for the services they provide to us.
- Supabase (database, authentication, storage).
- Resend (transactional email delivery).
- Vercel (hosting and edge delivery).
- Google Maps Platform (venue verification via the Places API).
- Twilio (SMS for venue phone verification).
- Stripe (payments). When payments are enabled, payment information is collected and stored by Stripe under Stripe's Privacy Policy. octiv.live does not store full payment card numbers.
For legal reasons
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, by valid legal process, or to protect octiv.live, our users, or the public from harm or fraud.
Sale of information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
5. Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion to satisfy legal, audit, or fraud-prevention obligations. Booking records are retained even after an account is deleted, in case of future disputes between the parties.
6. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) and database-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure, and you use octiv.live at your own risk. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
7. Your choices
- Update or correct your information from your profile page at any time.
- Delete your account by emailing us at hello@octiv.live.
- Email preferences: we currently only send transactional emails, which are required for the Service to function. You can opt out by deleting your account.

octiv.live is not intended for anyone under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
