Your Chance to Jam with Strangers at an Outdoor Music Festival!
Are you a musician who yearns to jam? How about jam with complete strangers? How about jam with complete strangers in front of a live audience at an ourdoor music festival?
If the answer isn't yes, we probably won't be great friends...
We're hosting a free open mic jam session (OCTIV.JAM) this Saturday, September 12 from 6-7 pm at OCTIV.FEST! If you're a Toledo musician, come get the Led out, kick out the jams, rock'n'roll all night, or whatever you're therapist has approved for you.
What is OCTIV.JAM/OCTIV.FEST?
OCTIV.JAM is a free, hour long open mic happening at the Bronze Boar in downtown Toledo. OCTIV.JAM is completely free and open to the public, so anyone and everyone is welcome! This jam sessiion is happening as a part of OCTIV.FEST, a free all-day outdoor music festival featuring a lineup of three local bands, a Stubborn Brother food truck, and of course, an open mic jam session. You'll be jamming with strangers, as well as members of the other bands playing at OCTIV.FEST. Learn more about OCTIV.FEST here!
Wanna Come? Here's What You Need to Know:
- OCTIV.JAM is totally free. You don't even need to sign up! Just show up to OCTIV.FEST, Saturday, September 12 before 6pm.
- All gear is provided. Leave that Line 6 Spyder at home!
- It's happening from 6-7pm on Saturday, September 12 at the Bronze Boar in Downtown Toledo. Stick around afterwards though, to catch local bands Wavelane, Silicon Death Ray, and Willow Run, do their thang!
- You can play whatever you want! But, we did put together a setlist featuring some suggestions to help get the ball rolling. Guests are encouraged to be spontaneous and collaborate with others, but having some structure never hurt. Remember you'll jamming with strangers, so just communicate with each other and have fun!
