Development for the night is over, and not by my choice. My cat has claimed my lap, and there is no appeals process. So while I'm pinned here, here's everything that shipped since the last update. We booked our own show Octiv Live is happening September 12 at the Bronze Boar in Toledo. First set at 3pm, last note at midnight. The bill: Jack Surtman, an open jam session, Wavelane, Silicon Death Ray, and Willow Run. Every artist on it books through Octiv, which felt like the right way to prove the thing works. Starting something from nothing is hard. How did Alexander Graham Bell explain the first telephone in a way that got people on board? There was no telecommunications infrastructure in place, no benchmark, no prior concept for people to latch onto. Just a new idea and a lot of people who would rather stick to the letters that they were used to... and a lot of carrier pigeons that didn't want to go back to the bread line.
